TiVo Time Update

In order to (re)set the date and time on a TiVo because the internal system clock has drifted, issue the command /bin/ntpdate -s -b -p 8 -u nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn where nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of a time server.

TiVo Default Gateway

To set a default gateway for a TiVo, issue the command /sbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 gw <nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn>. The nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of the default gateway.
